Bring your knitting or crochet or nothing at all! \nSit and enjoy the camaraderie of the local community or get involved in tying poppies onto the wire in readiness for covering the six pillars of the town hall in poppies\, ready for remembrance events in November. Come and make some effort for all those who gave everything for us. \nOur amazing community have been knitting and crocheting all year to make this project happen and we couldn’t be more grateful.\nWe look forward to seeing you and enjoying a lovely evening together 🌺

SUMMARY:Remembrance Parade and Service - Nuneaton
DESCRIPTION:Remembrance Day parades are held in across the borough and the country\, to remember and honour the service and sacrifice of those who have protected our country’s way of life.\n\nThe parades serve as a public acknowledgment of the immense loss experienced in wars and conflicts\, and they honor the dead\, celebrate the peace and freedoms enjoyed today\, and acknowledge shared history.\n\nThey are held on the second Sunday of November closest to the end of the World War 1\, which was 11th November\, which is known as Armistice Day. \n\n\nIn Nuneaton – we will have the Salvation Army band playing in Riversley Park from 10:20am\n\n\n\n\nThe main parade will start 10:35am – taking the route of Coventry Road\, Coton Road\, Fusilier Louis Carter Drive and into Riversley Park for the Service and wreath laying. After the service the parade retraces it’s route back to the Town Hall and back into the town centre. \n\nDuring the parade times – we will temporarily close roads on the route – please be patient and we’ll reopen them as soon as it’s safe to do so.
