Autumn 2025 Update

Grayson Place
The construction phase of Grayson Place is nearing completion! This fantastic milestone will be reached before the end of the year, when leisure and food units will be handed over to the new occupiers to decorate and set out ready to open early in 2026. North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College’s Digital Skills Hub will also be handed over to the College so they can get it ready to open at the start of the next academic year in September 2026—watch this space for an announcement of the food and leisure offer to come!
The car park will also be made available soon, so take advantage to support local businesses!

Vicarage Street Development
Exciting news at Vicarage Street, as the demolition begins in mid-October with WCC’s demolition partners DDS, clearing the way for the new Library and Business Centre. The design for the new building has moved on to its final stages, and construction should begin in 2026. In the meantime, the hoardings around the site have information about the plans and how you can find out more.

Bridge to Living
Hoardings will soon be going up around the Bridge to Living site to begin the work of removing shops to open up George Eliot Gardens to the town centre, creating a green corridor through to the river and maximising the space to integrate living and leisure. NBBC’s and WCC’s contractors will be working closely together to minimise disruption to the area.
Wheat Street Roadworks
The new four-legged layout on Wheat Street has been delayed, with work now due to begin in the spring of 2026. Once complete, it will provide better access to the ring road, and support delivery of the Leicester Road Gyratory Scheme which will follow.
