The Guardians Grow Charity

Margaret’s is a trauma-informed community hub and gateway service offering more than just a warm welcome—it’s a lifeline. Open to anyone facing challenges like loneliness, mental health struggles, homelessness, or domestic abuse, Margaret’s provides trusted advice, advocacy, meals, and a sense of belonging in a safe, inclusive environment. Operating without tick-box approaches, the experienced staff and volunteers tailor support to individual needs and connect people seamlessly to relevant services, ensuring no one falls through the cracks. Margaret’s is also currently piloting a social supermarket within its premises. The Iris Project serves as a dedicated hub for survivors of domestic violence, sexual exploitation, trafficking, modern slavery, hate crimes, and related harms. It’s a survivor-led, peer-driven space offering confidential information, guidance, creative workshops, advocacy, and community connection. Every purchase supports the HomeSafe project, which provides essential kits—clothing, toiletries, toys, furniture—for individuals and families fleeing trauma and rebuilding their lives. Through The Iris Project, your engagement becomes part of a deeper cycle of care and hope.
