These paper mache’ vessels have been created by Escape Arts P1C group, (short for Platform 1 Crafts) owing to the fact that we meet on platform one at the Station Gallery at Nuneaton train station. 

Every Thursday 2.00 till 4.00

These vessels were created by working together with talented visiting artist Jennifer Frearson. We first created a basic shape using thin cardboard and masking tape, then slowly built up layers using first newspaper, then white paper and finally using our own ideas to create the final design using tissue paper and paint. 

The group enjoyed the process and found it very therapeutic to take their time over each creation. 

Next we are moving on to 3D portraits in paper mache of our own faces and later trying ‘fantasy and fantastical birds’.
