Abbey Street Window Gallery – Celebrating Local Creativity
Nuneaton is a town full of talent, and we want to bring it to the streets! Our Abbey Street office window project is a vibrant new initiative designed to showcase the work of local artists in a way that everyone can enjoy.
Each month, a different local artist will take over the Abbey Street window, transforming it into a mini-gallery that celebrates creativity, colour, and imagination. From paintings and photography to mixed media and illustration, this is a unique chance for the public to see the incredible talent that exists right here in Nuneaton.
The window is perfectly positioned for passersby along Queens Road, so whether you’re on your way to work, shopping, or just enjoying a stroll, you can pause to appreciate the art and discover more about the artists behind it. Not only does this project offer local creatives a platform to share their work, but it also adds a splash of inspiration and brightness to Abbey Street, bringing energy and life to our town centre.
Stay tuned each month to see who’s featured next – and don’t forget to stop by, take a closer look, and support Nuneaton’s thriving creative community!
Current Featured Artist
I am Kate Brush and I am from Nuneaton. I picked up a paint brush during lockdown and watched tutorials on how to paint. I then started to sell my art at markets and events. I’ve been doing that for almost 4 years now and I absolutely love it.
My favourite subject to paint is British wildlife, seascapes and mountain ranges.
I create art using acrylics, watercolours and pencil crayons.
Art has helped me immensely in so many ways. My life has changed for so many amazing reasons. I’m so glad I decided to pick up that paint brush 6 years ago.
