The name and opening date of a stunning new Nuneaton town centre restaurant has been revealed. CoventryLive reported that a new Indian restaurant was due to open its doors in Abbey Street.
It is based in what were two council owned shops now made into one unit on Abbey Street and has been described as an 'Indian restaurant and bar with a creative cocktail menu'. Now it has been revealed the eatery, which has a stunning flower wall in the window, is called Saffron Table.
A Nuneaton town centre cafe that closed suddenly is set to re-open again. Tea and Chat closed its doors suddenly in July with the inside completely emptied out.
But now a new sign has appeared at the front of the cafe, which is next to what was the Jailhouse. It explains the cafe is opening again 'soon'.
In fact, the sign says: "We are thrilled to announce that tea and chat will be opening very soon!' Unconfirmed reports to CoventryLive suggest it could be as soon as this week.

Partner agencies are working alongside businesses to promote partnership working and reduce the likelihood of crime and anti-social behaviour through delivery of education, training and promotion of best practices across the industry, to make Warwickshire a safer, healthier and enjoyable place to live and work.
Businesses can now join the scheme using the application form below. The closing date for registration is 30th September 2025!
